Klinefelter's Syndrome
- Specific genetic mutation: 47 XXY Syndrome;KS
- is when males get an extra x chromosome
- Physical Characteristics:
- for babies: smaller birth weight and slower muscle and motor development
- for children and adults:
- small firm testes, small penis
- abnormal body proportions
- tallness with extra long arms and legs
- Possible treatments:
- testosterone
- speech and language therapy
- Interesting Fact: About one in every 500 to 800 males is born with this disorder.
